Rehabilitation Programs - Houghton Physical Therapy & Sports Conditioning

We want your rehabilitation to result in you being in the best condition ever.  That's right ... better than before you were injured!

Below you will find rehabilitation program information for some of the most common injuries. These  rehabilitation procedures are to help you understand the type of treatment you may need.  We know it is important for you to have as much insight and knowledge about your injury to assist you in taking an active roll in your rehabilitation.

It is important to rehabilitate your injury properly. You should always seek the medical advice of a physician, physical therapist or qualified health professional. Healing correctly from the start is significant in the prevention of reoccurrence.

An injury not rehabilitated correctly has a high risk of reinjury.

  • Achilles tendonitis

  • ACL
  • Ankle sprains
  • Knee pain
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Rotator cuff
  • Lumbar sprain/strain
  • Tennis elbow
  • "Since suffering a neck injury in a car accident 18 years ago I’ve lived with chronic neck pain. It was not until coming to Houghton Physical Therapy and Sports conditioning that  I can wake up every day with no pain or discomfort.  Thanks to Todd and all the staff at Houghton Physical Therapy for all of your help."

It is also important for you to make sure that your rehabilitation program is well supervised; this will ensure that you are performing the exercises correctly and you are progressing at a safe rate.

Our physical therapists use several different types of therapy to help you with your rehab. Some examples are:

Ultrasound, Electrical stimulation, Joint mobilization, Theraputic exercises, Manual therapy, traction, and Aquatics.

Please do not ignore the early warning signs as your condition may become chronic which can be very difficult to treat.  Give us a call at 508-619-4169 to schedule an appointment to speak with one of our therapists and let us help you get better today!
