One warm coat can make a huge difference - Annual Coat Drive
Houghton Physical Therapy was able to collect a record breaking 170 coats during this year’s annual coat drive held in their two facilities during the month of November. The coats were donated by their caring staff, patients, and gym members. The number of coats were divided in half and donated to New Hope and St.Vincent de Paul. Bank Street Soap and Suds gave a generous donation by washing, drying and folding each and every jacket.
It is “chilling” to hear stories of little children coming into the shelters with just a sweater on during the freezing months of winter. There are many families in need, more than many people know about. Giving one coat or jacket warms not only a person in need but the hearts and souls of many.
